Cryptocurrency Prices today: Bitcoin gains big, short-term holders make profits

The world’s most popular cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, has broken above the USD 44,000-mark as the global crypto market by and large was trading in green.

Ending its two-month-long downtrend, Bitcoin was trading at USD 44,319, up by 3.56 per cent, according to data on coindesk.

BITCOIN GAINS

Bitcoin punched through its 50-day average to top USD 44,000 for the first time in nearly a month.

Following this upward movement in the global crypto market, short-term holders have made profits for the first time since November, according to details provided by coindesk.

PRICES OF MOST TOKENS UP

Prices of most tokens have rallied in the broader cryptocurrency market.

The second-biggest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, Ethereum, was trading at USD 3,159 by 2.35 per cent.

Other cryptocurrencies such as XRP was up by over 20 per cent, Terra was up by 1.41 per cent at USD 58.36, Cardano was up by over 7 per cent at USD 1.24, Stellar was up by 11.26 per cent, Polkadot was up by 2 per cent at USD 22.71.

Other popular cryptocurrencies such as Dogecoin was trading at 0.166868, up by 5.31 per cent, Shiba Inu was up by over 22 per cent, and Polygon was up by 11.39 per cent.
