Deadline for proof of vaccination has arrived for LTC staff at privately run homes

As of Tuesday, staff at Canada’s largest private-sector long-term care homes who are not fully vaccinated were put on an unpaid leave of absence. While the vast majority have received the shot, one union is worried about the impact on resident care with homes already dealing with staffing shortages.
