Lincoln family is out about $700,000 in an internet fraud involving cryptocurrency.
LPD was called Monday, July 11th by the family who stated they had been investing in cryptocurrency for several months. The problems stared in March when their accounts were locked.
Police say the family was then directed by those online to continue to invest to unlock their assets. They eventually were unable to access any of their funds. That is when police were notified.
The victims are a 39 year old who lost $2200,000, a 43 year old who lost $335,000 and a 77 year old who lost $145,000.
The investigation continues.
