
Patna: The successful applications of blockchain technology in government services can reduce service time period, streamline processes, decrease audit burden, increase security and ensure data integrity, said blockchain experts in a workshop organised by the department of information technology Saturday.
Speaking as the chief guest, development commissioner Vivek Kumar Singh said different verticals in the government can benefit out of blockchain technology. He said its implementation will improve efficiency and transparency.
Santosh Kumar Mall, principal secretary (IT), in his address said, “The blockchain technology has been playing a pivotal role in empowering governance in the modern era. It will enable the government to drive eGovernance with optimum efficiency.”
IT department special secretary Arvind Kumar Choudhary said the workshop will help several departments. TNN
