Dec. 1—ST. PAUL — The Minnesota Department of Transportation is once again inviting the public to name more snowplows, according to a news release from the department.
People will be able to submit names for another eight snowplows, one for each MnDOT district in the state.
“MnDOT encourages the public to get creative and submit their most witty, unique or punny,” reads part of the news release.
Each person may submit up to three names with a maximum of 30 characters. The submission form will be open through Wednesday, Dec. 15. Previous winners will not be considered nor will politically inspired names, names including profanity or inappropriate language.
“This contest is intended to be fun, lighthearted, family friendly and non-political,” reads part of the release.
MnDOT staff will review name submissions and invite the public to vote on their favorites in January 2022.
