Nuvei, Wix Team on Streamlined Payment Processing

Global payment technology platform Nuvei Corporation on Thursday (Jan. 13) partnered with global Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company Wix to launch, manage and grow its online presence, streamlining payment processing for Wix merchants in North America.

The collaboration is expected to bring “fast, seamless and secure payment processing for Wix merchants and their customers across all industries, including those with higher margins or more complex regulatory requirements,” according to the joint announcement.

As part of the partnership, Nuvei will provide Wix with local acquiring and payment processing for its merchants, which will bring them enhanced online shopping and digital payment experiences.

“We’re very excited to be working with Wix,” Philip Fayer, chair and CEO of Nuvei, said in the announcement. “It’s the perfect partnership for us. Nuvei and Wix are both high-tech, Nasdaq-listed companies experiencing hyper-growth across the globe.

“The entire tech sector is watching closely what we and Wix are doing as two fast-growing global experts in our fields. We’re delighted to be a part of Wix’s expansion plans.”

The Nuvei-Wix collaboration means Wix’s customers — from small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to global enterprises — will have direct access to Nuvei’s payment processing solution. Through the collaboration, Wix will leverage Nuvei’s go-to-market capabilities and technology to maximize its clients’ transaction success rates.

“We are constantly finding new ways to support our merchants and offer them the tools to grow their businesses, so they can continue to expand their online presence and provide the best service to their customers,” said Volodymyr Tsukur and Amit Sagiv, co-heads of Wix Payments. “We look forward to working with Nuvei, providing more payment options for our merchants.”
