22 October 2021 – PolkaPet World, the Polkadot ecosystem nonfungible token (NFT) project in partnership with 21 of the biggest Polkadot projects, today announced that first-round funding for its highly anticipated PETS token has closed at over $3.1 million.
The round was led by Animoca Brands, a leader in digital entertainment, blockchain, and gamification. Other investors included SkyVision Capital, DFG Group, Jsquare, Waterdrip Capital, Hillrise Capital, and 3Commas, among others.
The PETS token is a utility token that will grant holders the opportunity to interact with PolkaPet World partner protocols as well as earn exclusive NFTs, engage in P2E games and access many innovative PolkaPet World DeFi products.
“This round of investment was heavily oversubscribed and we’ve been overwhelmed with the response,” said Harry Liu, CEO of PolkaPet World. “To have major backers in this space, including Animoca Brands, is a testament to the strength of the $PETS token, and matches our ambition to make PolkaPets World a leading Polkadot project.”
